Volunteers make us tick! The work of The Second Step is made possible by the many volunteers who donate their time and skills in myriad ways.  Join us!  There are many ways you can help.

Front Desk and Administrative Support
Front Desk reception and phone answering assistance needed. Provide assistance with various administrative tasks and do ad-hoc projects for various departments of the organization. Computer knoweldge a definite plus. Read more »

Help out in the Residences
A perfect group volunteer opportunity!  Projects for one-time or ongoing groups include:  Preparing rooms for new residents; tackling yard work, painting, or cleaning; sorting donations; and answering phones.

Become a Mentor

Host a Drive
Organize a drive to collect and donate household items needed by families moving to new homes.  Read more »

Join our Holiday Gift Drive
Sort, wrap, and deliver holiday gifts to families recovering from domestic violence at the end of each year.  Read more »

Work with Children
Make a difference in the lives of children who have experienced violence by tutoring, providing child care, or helping in our Afterschool program.  Read more »
