Intervention & Advocacy

At the heart of The Second Step’s mission is a deep commitment to helping survivors of domestic violence reclaim their lives with dignity, safety, and support. Through our comprehensive survivor services, we walk alongside survivors on their journey to healing by providing critical resources such as personalized safety planning, emergency intervention, and education about the dynamics of domestic violence. Beyond crisis intervention, The Second Step focuses on long-term healing and empowerment through support groups and educational workshops designed to rebuild confidence and restore hope. We are committed to creating safe, confidential spaces and nurturing environments for survivors to share their experiences and connect with others on similar paths. Our support also includes legal advocacy, trauma-informed counseling, and pathways to economic independence to ensure every survivor has access to the tools and opportunities needed to thrive and live free from fear.
