BOSTON, July 8, 2026 – The Second Step is one of 13 Massachusetts nonprofits awarded grants this summer by The ‘Quin Impact Fund. The Fund supports six pillars throughout the year with more than $4.9 million in grants: Arts and Culture, Discovery and Innovation, Equity and Opportunity, Health and Wellness, Youth and Education, and Earth 360°. The Second Step is a nonprofit organization based in Newton, MA that was chosen to receive an Equity and Opportunity grant to support its Domestic Violence Legal Services, Intervention & Advocacy, and Prevention Education programming.
The Second Step provides free, trauma-informed services to survivors of domestic violence across Greater Boston and beyond. Through legal advocacy, intervention and support services, prevention education, and housing stabilization, the organization helps survivors achieve long-term safety, stability, and independence. Funding from The ‘Quin Impact Fund will support The Second Step’s comprehensive programs, helping ensure survivors have access to critical resources while advancing efforts to prevent abuse through education and community engagement.

The ‘Quin Impact Fund serves as a financial resource for local philanthropic organizations that are making positive contributions to the Greater Boston community. The ‘Quin House is committed to affecting change in the local community and the club is a space for members to not only further their education on important issues, but also be a part of the solution. The Fund was launched in 2020, a year prior to the opening of The ‘Quin House, and is now the basis of the club’s philanthropy.

The ’Quin House Impact Fund is hosted by The Boston Foundation and has now awarded more than $4.9M in grants to 170 Greater Boston nonprofits since 2020, including over $1M in the past year.
All 13 Equity and Opportunity winners gathered for a celebration and networking event at The ‘Quin House on July 28, as a continued effort of The ‘Quin House to provide opportunities to the community organizations it supports.
